Hi I'm Cate!

Based on the Somerset Levels, I am a textile designer-maker with a love of knitting.

Growing up, my Grandma was my main creative inspiration because she had skills in so many art-forms including painting, sewing, willow weaving, yoga and scarf dancing (yes and I used to love to help with her classes)! She and my mum taught me to sew and that is where it all began...
I left my rural roots to earn a degree studying constructed textiles, specialising in knit design at university in Birmingham. Although I enjoyed my time in the city, I soon returned to my natural habitat in Somerset. I now create from a home studio on our smallholding.

I take inspiration from my beautiful surroundings and use natural fibres to mirror this, creating knitwear that is mindfully designed to minimise waste; by using these natural fibres, the small amount of waste created can be safely composted at home.

I believe in shopping small and sustainably because products that are made well, with quality materials will last for years to come.
Each individual piece is produced in my studio using traditional processes which add to the charm.
